Nathaniel Oliver, fitness expert, personal trainer, avid marathon runner and triathlete, developed FitnessRuns™ after spending over a decade delivering customized in-home personal training to some of New York’s busiest executives, actors and models looking to maximize “bang for their buck” with the time they spent on fitness. Over the years, he has perfected the most time efficient, calorie and fat-burning routines and is inspired to share his skills/experience with the growing number of NYC time-squeezed, health conscious individuals.

Fitness Runs is for all fitness levels! Regardless of your current physical activity level, their expert instructors will monitor your ability at all times. The classes may be difficult and challenging, but the goal is to push you to your highest potential. The overall mission of FitnessRuns is to help you to be the best you!

Nathaniel is certified by The American Council on Exercise and is also a Medical Exercise Specialist from American Academy of Health, Fitness, and Rehabilitation Professionals. He has been featured in numerous publications including: Time Out NY(2007), Allure “Total Makeover” (2005/2006), New York Magazine “Best of New York” (2004), and Weight Watchers.

Being a personal trainer for close to 20 years, he has seen many fades come and go. The ones that stayed are few… running, strength training and flexibility. From his own personal training experience of loving endurance sports (multiple NYC Marathoner as well as the famous Empire State building run up) as well as getting results for his clients, he has always relied on what works. Running intervals whether it’s a short 30 second run or an hour long run it burns calories.. Strength training is the best way to increase metabolism hands down. Lastly there are countless articles about flexibility and how it’s needed to help not only reduce tightness and help you recuperate from workouts. But yoga in particular has the ability to help release stress and get you more in tuned with the body. Everyone in NYC is looking for a workout that has it all! And this is it!

Fitness Runs has 5 locations in Manhattan! Not only does Fitness Runs help spread fitness and health in the community but it also motivates people to use the great NYC parks more often. There is nothing like running free with the wind in your hair and beautiful scenery every where you look. So taking all this into account… Fitness Runs was born! All of the Fitness Runs workouts are based on cardio, strength and flexibility. It’s not your average run in the park…
