Our @sparklysoulinc Blogger of the Month for March 2014 is Sparkly Soul’s own JP Bichun at the blog @tradetraintri – http://tradetraintri.wordpress.com
JP took to sports at an early age playing soccer growing up in Guilford, CT. Throughout the years, he was a member of several travel, district, and state teams, and also played hockey in high school. After high school, JP was recruited to play soccer at several universities, and decided to attend Northeastern University where he played soccer for two years, while earning his BA in Finance and Insurance. He then went on to play 3 years of lacrosse at Northeastern University
JP got his first taste of triathlons in 2008 when he joined Team in Training for the NYC Triathlon. After that first season he was hooked and never looked back. Over the next several years, JP went on to complete 5 NYC Triathlons, countless sprints, a Half Ironman, and an Ironman.
In 2011, JP then took an interest in coaching, and wanted to share his love for triathlons with others, so he went on to help out with Team in Training’s Triathlon program. Since then he has helped coach hundreds of athletes to the finish line for the NYC Triathlon, St. Anthony’s Triathlon, Lavaman in Hawaii, and Ironman NYC. JP is also currently an assistant coach on NYC TNT’s Half and Full Ironman teams.
JP holds a Level I certified coach with USAT. JP is a coach and offers personified training plans too! http://tradetraintri.wordpress.com/coaching/
