Lauren Erbach is a 29-year-old from Chicago, Illinois. She was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (specifically Crohn’s disease) in 2005 and took up running shortly after. Both things are forever intertwined in her mind, and she loves to help others with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis find their way to fitness.
Most of the time, you’ll find her running, biking, and swimming, in no particular order, training for as many races as she can cram into my weekends. She also enjoys rocking out to Hanson (yes, the band that hit it big with “Mmmbop” in 1997), giggling withfriends, and eating way too many Oreos.
Lauren combines her passions in her day job, too, working for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. She is the Endurance Manager for the National Team, which is a fancy way of saying I’m responsible for managing the National Team for triathlon and cycle events, as well as many of our half marathon events. She couldn’t possibly love it more.
What else does Lauren love? Her sparkly soul headbands, of course! She is thrilled to join this ambassador group.
